22mm x 16mm Finger Pull

Notes

This router bit is not made to plunge vertically. The Pocket for the finger pull can be cut with a regular upcut bit such as the 16mm X 16mm Clearing Router Bit or the 8mm x 35mm Up-Spiral Flat Router Bit. The Finger Pull bit should just be used for the undercut profile on the sides. Auto Mode is highly recommended, since burn marks are very difficult to sand in the finger pull profile or the bottom of the pocket. A cut depth of 16mm is recommended.

• For cutting clean and unique finger pulls in a range of solid woods and wood materials
• Allows a wide range of finger pulls especially when used with Origin
• The red cross × in the table below indicate that a different router bit may be more suitable to prolong the life of the bit

Cutting Recommendations for Finger Pull Bit

• Cut paths should overlap in the centre to allow plunging in the Pocket area. See project “Finger Pull” on ShaperHub for examples
• Creates best results with a pre-cut pocket if used with right auto and spindle speed. See chart below
• Avoid retraction of the bit during the cut because this will destroy the profile
• Cleaning from time to time will considerably increase the service life of this bit
