Using AutoPass, Origin will Ramp into each pass. You can adjust the angle of the ramp by adjusting your plunge speed. Learn more about adjusting your Ramp Angle here.
Ramping on Origin's Screen
On the first pass, the ramp will be shown as a light shade of blue until you reach the end of the ramp.
Once you reach the end of the ramp, the color of the cut path will turn into darker blue to indicate that you have reached the full pass depth. The ramp will remain visible as you proceed through the first pass.
The bit will ramp into the second pass in the same location.
On all subsequent passes, the end of the ramp remains visible. The ramp will begin at a short distance prior to this point.
Tip: For the smoothest transition between each pass, we recommend pressing and holding “Auto” until the ramp has been completed. This will ensure that the bit moves at a consistent speed through the ramp resulting in the best cut quality.
