Managing your files
Once you navigate to your files, you can move, rename, duplicate, and delete files from any view. You can also create and manage folders to keep things organized.
Create menu: When you are in the ALL FILES filter, you can create a new file by clicking the button in the bottom right corner:
- New Design: Opens Shaper Studio with a new, untitled design
- Upload Files: Opens a file browser that allows you to upload individual files from your device to your Shaper account. Once uploaded, they will be available in Origin.
- New Folder: Creates a folder to organize the files in your Shaper account. Find out more about folders and how to use them.

- Open: If the file has been edited in Studio, you can open it in the My Files view.
- Rename: Here you can rename your file. Note that special characters are not allowed.
- Download: This downloads the file to your device's hard drive. The location is managed by your browser
- Create ShaperHub project: This will convert the file into a new ShaperHub project.
- Point to ShaperHub: If the file is linked to a project on ShaperHub, this option is available to quickly find it
- Delete: Delete the file from your account. Note: This cannot be undone!
Using folders: Folders help you organize your files. You can see folders on Origin and in your browser when you navigate to My Files.
