Designing Dovetails for Origin

There are several ways to create the cutting files for dovetails.

1. There are ready-made files on Shaper Hub. You can also find a parametric Fusion360 model for generating basic dovetail files for Origin. It considers cutter diameter, and contains the necessary "over-cut" geometry to clear the shoulders on both sides of the joint.
2. You can create the files by yourself, using the software you feel most comfortable with. He prepared a special help article that gives you some information about the offset you need to use, when using the same cutting file for part A and B with the Dovetail bit
3. There is an online generator that creates the cutting files for part A and part B.
