Touchscreen Controls

This article includes navigation controls in Shaper Studio for phones and tablets that use touchscreen controls.

Zoom

Pinch to Zoom

Pan

Tap and drag anywhere on the canvas to pan.pan.gif

Undo/Redo

You can Undo and Redo actions by clicking the undo.png and redo.png buttons. There's no limit to how many times you can undo.

Shape Transformation

Select

Tap on a shape to select it.

Move

Tap on a shape and drag it to move it across your canvas.

Delete

Tap an object or group to select and tap the In-Line__Delete_.png button.

Scale

Select an object and drag one of the corner handles.

You can also use the Edit Selection Menu to resize an object:

Tap edit.png to open the menu. To change the orientation of the scale to one of the nine anchor points edit_selection_anchor.png or enter numerical values for the object's dimensions.

Duplicate

Select an object and tap the copy.png  button to duplicate.

Shape Selecting

Toggle Between Overlapping Shapes

Toggle between shapes in a stack, by tapping the overlapping area between the shapes.

Select Multiple Shapes

Tap+Hold away from your objects for half a second. Then drag to create a selection box around the shapes you want to select.

Edit Selection

Select an object and tap the edit.png button to open the Edit Selection Menu.

Size

In the Edit Selection menu tap the resize.png change the size of the object. The object will scale based on the selected anchor point.

Anchor

The anchor point is the point the object will refer to when scaling, rotating, or positioning. To change the anchor point, tap the edit_selection_anchor.png icon. The object will highlight the available positions. Once changed scale, rotation, and position will refer to that point of origin.

Rotate

Tap the rotate.png icon and enter a value to rotate an object. Entering 0 will return the object to its original alignment.

Position

Once you've turned on your Grid, you can move an object by tapping the position.png button and entering (X,Y) coordinates to move your object's Anchor Point. This will be relative to the selected Anchor. This option will only be available if it's turned on in the Design Mode Options.
