Automating Cuts with BenchPilot

In order to automate cuts with BenchPilot, you must tell Origin how to cut the paths in your Workspace. At a minimum, you must assign each path with a Cut Type (On-Line, Inside, Outside, Pocket) and a Cut Depth. 

Cut Types must be assigned to paths individually. BenchPilot will order cuts based on each path’s assigned Cut Type. Learn more here.

Cut Depth can be assigned in two ways: 

1. Origin has a Global Cut Depth setting. This Cut Depth will be used for all paths which do not have an Encoded Depth. Learn more about Origin’s Global Cut Depth setting here.
2. You can assign Encoded Depths to individual paths in your Workspace. Learn more about using Encoded Depths here.
