How much ShaperTape do I need?

It depends on how large a project you’re working on. For optimal cut quality, there should be at least three (non-overlapping) strips of ShaperTape in Origin's field of view at all times. We suggest that you place ShaperTape in rows that are 2-3" apart. We also suggest you not use individual strips of tape longer than 36", as longer strips can 'bow' as they are placed on your work surface.

Origin will notify you if it doesn’t see enough tape while you're cutting, and you can easily add more. For more information about this process, see here.
