Z-Touch Troubleshooting

Origin will prompt you to z touch if you change your router bit diameter. If you change your router bit diameter to a value which is greater than 1.27mm/0.05in, Origin will encourage you to use automatic z touch. If you change your router bit diameter to a value which is equal to or less than 1.27mm/0.05in, Origin will encourage you to use manual z touch.

If you experience any issues while attempting to perform an automatic or manual z touch, check the following:

• Check that a bit is installed in the collet (sounds silly but it’s an easy mistake to make)
• The spindle is firmly clamped in the spindle mount
• Origin's base is completely over a flat and uniform worksurface
• The material surface was not bumped during Z Touch
• Origin can see tape during Z Touch
