# Travailler avec ShaperTape
Origin utilise ShaperTape pour déterminer en permanence et en temps réel sa position sur la surface de travail et pour numériser ton espace de travail.
Avant de commencer un projet, tu dois appliquer du ShaperTape sur ta pièce ou sur la surface de travail environnante. Pour un résultat optimal, utilise des bandes de ShaperTape d'une longueur maximale de 90 cm. Applique ShaperTape de manière à ce que la distance entre chaque bande soit de 5 à 8 cm.
Il est plus facile d'appliquer le ShaperTape en lignes presque parallèles. Toutefois, les bandes ne doivent pas être exactement parallèles et ne doivent pas être de longueur égale. L'orientation du ShaperTape par rapport à ton pièce de travail (parallèle/vertical/diagonal) n'est pas importante et peut être ajustée en fonction de ton projet. Toutefois, les bandes ne doivent pas se chevaucher.
La caméra d'Origin est situé sur son dos, entre les deux lumières LED. Il est donc important que le ShaperTape soit dans ce champ de vision lorsque tu travailles avec Origin.
ShaperTape permet à Origin de se repérer sur l'espace de travail. Cela signifie que le ShaperTape ne doit pas être déplacé une fois le scan effectué . Assure-toi que toutes les surfaces pourvues de bandes de ShaperTape sont bien fixées, soit avec un dispositif de fixation, soit avec du ruban double-face.
Applique toujours le ShaperTape à la même hauteur que ta surface de fraisage. L'application de ShaperTape à différents niveaux affectera la précision et la qualité du fraisage.
