Your controls will differ depending on the machine you're using to access ShaperLabs. This page provides an overview of the various controls and features you can use, depending on your device.

Desktop
This includes PCs, laptops, MacBooks and other computers with mouse/keyboard input
Canvas Navigation
Zoom
Use your mouse scroll wheel to zoom in and out with the cursor as the center of zoom.
If you have a track-pad or touchscreen, you can pinch to zoom in and out with the cursor as the focus of your zoom.
Pan
Click anywhere on the canvas that isn't a shape, and drag.
To pan anywhere on the canvas Hold [space] + click & drag anywhere
Shape Transformation
Select a Shape
Click a shape to select it
Move a shape
Click and drag while hovering over a shape with the cursor to move it.
Delete a shape
Click the 'delete' button in the tool palette.
Hit [Del] key on your keyboard
Toggle Between Overlapping Shapes
To select a different shape in a stack, click the overlapping area again to swap from one shape to another.
Select multiple shapes
Hold [shift] and click the individual shapes you want to select
Hold shift, click, and drag the mouse to create a selection box around the shapes you want to select
Click+Hold for ~0.5sec then drag to create a selection box around the shapes you want to select
Using the Selection Palette
When you have more than one shape selected, a number will appear above the selection. Clicking this number will bring up the Selection Palette, where you can select or deselect any of the items already selected.
Resize
Clicking and dragging on a corner handle resizes the element while keeping the proportions constant and the opposite corner fixed
Grabbing one of the center handles will stretch the element in that direction.
Clicking and dragging on any handle while holding the Option/Alt key will resize the shape with the center fixed
You can also use the Edit Current Selection menu to enter values.
Nudge
The arrow keys will nudge an element in your workspace. Once selected use the arrow keys to push the shape by a small amount in the desired direction.
Hold Shift + arrow keys to move the shape by a larger amount
Smart Alignment
When moving an object it will automatically align according to other objects in your design. The alignment will be represented by a red line indicating the alignment. You can use this functionality to perfectly place objects relative to other design elements!

Select a Shape
Tap on a shape to select it
Move a shape
Tap on a shape and then drag it to move the selected shape
Delete a shape
Tap on the [Del] button on the tool palette
Select overlapping shapes
To toggle between shapes in a stack, tap the overlapping between the shapes.
