How do I enter a Discount Code?
Once you've found the Premium Project that you'd like to build, hit the Buy button, read the purchase terms, and fill out your billing information. If you have a Discount Code, you can enter it in the Discount Code field.
Are Premium Projects only available in English?
Yes, at this time instructions are only available in English. But projects are well documented with diagrams and visuals for each step like this. So perfect English comprehension isn’t required.
How do I know if I'll be able to build a particular Premium Project before buying it?
Each Premium Project is assigned a skill level and approximate build time, so you can pick a project that’s right for you.
Where do I find the materials?
Each project includes a comprehensive bill of materials. This includes all hardware, materials and tools you’ll need to build the project. Most items in the bill of materials are include a specification and a suggested sourcing option. You can find the bill of materials on each Premium Project page under the heading “What you’ll need.”
Do I need special cutters?
Some projects require cutters that are not included with Origin. Where this is the case, sourcing suggestions will be provided to help you find the cutters you need:
Do I need Origin to make these projects?
These projects are designed to take advantage of Origin’s particular strengths. If you’re familiar with CAD and experienced in the workshop, you could build many of these projects without it, but the builds are much more fun with Origin!
Do I need Workstation to make these projects?
Some projects recommend the use of Workstation but with a little fixturing ingenuity, you can create your own workholding solutions for most projects. You can see which projects require Workstation in the “What you’ll need” section on any Premium Project page.
Are Premium Projects only available to Origin owners?
Yes, currently Premium Projects are only available to Origin owners and users.
Are there projects that just use the stock cutters and accessories that ship with Origin?
Yes there are! The Hex Mats and Candle Holder projects both use stock cutters.
