Shaper Origin does not have a system-level on/off switch. When you are done using Origin, simply unplug it from the wall. Think of Origin more like a power tool than a computer; there is no need to "safely" power down from within the software interface (your progress and workpiece data is saved automatically).
The on/off switch on the front of the spindle is only responsible for powering the spindle motor on/off. Always put the spindle into the off position and unplug its cable from Origin when doing bit-change operations or handling the spindle in any way.
There is no need to unplug Origin when doing bit-change operations. It is necessary only to unplug and remove the spindle from the spindle mount.
