To place a file on a scanned workspace, tap the plus sign in the upper left corner of Design mode.
Tap USB to add a design stored on your USB drive. Tab My Hub to add a design you added from ShaperHub.
After tapping on a design, you will see it overlaid on your Workspace. Move Origin around to adjust where it gets placed. The white square represents the current location of your bit.
When you are happy with the location of your design, tap the green button to Place.
Placing with a Grid
When you have added a grid to your workspace, the anchor point on your design will snap to gridlines. To change which anchor point is used, tap Anchor on the left menu. You can then select one of nine points.
After tapping Proceed, the selected anchor point will snap to grid lines. Its current location in the workspace will be displayed in the coordinate read out in the upper right.
To freely place your design without snapping to the grid, you can toggle the Snap setting.
To change the size of your design prior to placement, tape the Scale icon. You may then set the width and/or height of your design. When the 'Proportional' setting is enabled, the other dimension will automatically adjust to ensure your design doesn't become distorted.
To distort your design, you may disable the Proportional setting.
Rotating a Design
You can also rotate your design relative to the grid. You may use the presets or enter a specific degree of rotation.
