Designing Dovetails for Origin

To create Dovetails, it's best to Use origin in combination with workstation. Check out this Shaper Session to see some best practice:

There are several ways to create the cutting files for dovetails.

1. There are ready-made files on Shaper Hub. You can also find a parametric Fusion360 model for generating basic dovetail files for Origin. It considers cutter diameter, and contains the necessary "over-cut" geometry to clear the shoulders on both sides of the joint.
2. There is an online generator that creates the cutting files for part A and part B.

In addition, this generator offers the possibility to not only distribute the dovetails evenly, but to set them individually. You can find the whole instructions for the generator here.
