Mac installation issues:
If the plugin fails to install follow these steps:
1: uninstall fusion if it was downloaded from the apple store
2: reset apple home permissions https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203538
3: download and install Fusion 360 "free trial" from the autodesk web site https://www.autodesk.com/products/fusion-360/overview
4: download and install the shaper utilities plugin from the Autodesk app store https://apps.autodesk.com/FUSION/en/Detail/Index?id=3662665235866169729&appLang=en&os=Mac
With Fusion open, and in modeling mode, the Shaper logo will display in the top right of the top tool bar.
Shoulders and narrow ledges don't produce tool paths on Origin:
If a ledge is narrower than the cutter installed + the pocketing protective boundary tool paths will not be produced. On tool solutions include changing to a narrower cutter, and or changing the pocket to an inside cut.
If that does not solve the problem open the svg in a 2d vector editing package ( Illustrator or Inkscape ) and manipulate the pocket shape making it large enough to accommodate the cutter you wish to use.
I cant export lines.
The default "single solid body" export mode analyzes solid shapes, lines are not considered.
To add lines ( for online cuts or guides ) export the single solid body as you usually would, then activate the advanced button and export the sketch containing the lines.
First opening the single solid body svg in a 2d vector editing package, then copying and aligning the exported lines svg file will enable you to delete the unneeded geometry and color code the remaining lines as you wish ( stroke = blue for guide, stroke = grey for cut on line. )
