[ShaperTape](https://www.shapertools.com/store/product/shaper-tape) is a core component of Origin's vision-based positioning system. Origin uses specialized fiducial markers which digitally augment your workspace and allow the tool to accurately track its position while you are working. The dimensional accuracy of each fiducial marker is critical to Origin's performance, and ShaperTape’s uniquely encoded patterns are printed using specialized production equipment designed to ensure extremely high dimensional accuracy. ShaperTape is specifically engineered to be easy to apply and remove, with carefully selected adhesives that won’t leave residue on your material. Origin also uses ShapeTape to save and recognize your Workspaces.
