      Adobe Illustrator SVG save settings

      To save files for Origin from Adobe Illustrator first select Save As in the File menu and select the SVG file type (see image below) to save the file as an SVG.

      An SVG Options menu will appear providing Advanced Settings. 

      Note: If your file contains live text (text that has not been converted to paths), you must select the "Convert to outline" option in Type.

      The Settings shown below provide the most reliable SVG compatibility with Origin.

      Note: On Illustrator 28.4.1 and later use SVG Basic 1.1 as your SVG Profile. For previous versions you can use SVG 1.1 as your SVG Profile. If these settings don't work you can find a workaround in the Adobe Illustrator Troubleshooting article.
