Transitioning from Roughing Pass to Finishing Pass
If you have Roughing Passes turned ON, the pass indicator will inform you that you are approaching your finishing pass as you approach the end of the penultimate pass.
A white marker will also appear on the cut path. This marker indicates the point where the Finishing Pass will begin. When the bit reaches the marker, it will transition laterally into the Finishing Pass to remove the defined roughing offset while remaining at the same depth. Learn more about roughing passes here.
The Pass Indicator informs you that you are approaching the finish pass. The white marker indicates where the bit will transition into the finish pass.
Tip: For the smoothest transition into the finishing pass, we recommend pressing and holding the “Auto” button until the transition is complete. This will ensure that the bit moves at a consistent speed resulting in the best cut quality. Press “Auto” before the bit reaches the marker, and release it once you've begun cutting the finishing pass.
