Which collets can I use with Origin?

This is valid for units bought at Shaper Tools GmbH:

Origin ships with an 8 mm collet. This means that it accepts any cutters with an 8 mm shank diameter.

You can also order a 1/8" (3.175 mm) collet in our Online Store as well as a Collet Kit that includes a 1/4", 1/8", 3 mm, 6 mm, and 8 mm collet. This will give you access to a range of specialty bits, opening up new horizons and giving you flexibility.

The spindle from Origin even has the same thread as the Festool Router OF 700 to OF 1010, so the 6 mm (manufacturer number 488760) and 6.35 mm (manufacturer number 488761) collets from Festool also fit.
